FAQs

circles

What’s included in a circle (support group)?

Eight 60-minute sessions, led by a trained facilitator (one of our co-founders!). You’ll also get the Sorelle digital journal (note this is included in the total cost).

How many people are in each circle?

Circles are intentionally small—usually 6 to 8 women—so everyone gets space and support.

What’s the time commitment?

One hour per week, for 8 weeks. It’s designed to be manageable even during the newborn haze.

I’m not a “support group” person. Will I still get something out of this?

Totally. Our groups aren’t kumbaya circles. They’re structured, professional, and designed to meet you where you are.

What if I’m in pajamas holding a baby during the session?

You’ll fit right in. No filters, no pressure—just show up.

How do I get placed in a circle?

Simply select the circle time that works for you. If you’re not seeing a time or start date that works, please click here to join the waitlist for new times!

What if I miss a session?

Totally okay. You’ll still have access to the journal, and you'll receive an email reminding you which pages to cover before the next session. Email support@joinsorelle.com if you have questions.

What if I realize a circle isn’t for me?

If you’re really not enjoying your group after 2 sessions, let us know by emailing your group facilitator or support@joinsorelle.com, explaining your situation. We want you to be happy and will work on a solution.

journals

When are the journals shipping?

This summer! We're working to incorporate early user feedback to make the first version as helpful as possible. We can't wait to get it to you.

What’s inside the journal?

A 10-week guided experience built on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It’s therapist-designed, not just blank pages.

Is this a guided journal or just prompts?

It’s fully guided—each page includes structured exercises, reflections, and gentle check-ins.

Can I use it without joining a group?

Absolutely. You can use the journal solo or alongside a support circle.

What makes it different from other journals?

This journal was designed by licensed maternal mental health therapists—so it’s not just pretty prompts or blank pages. It follows a structure grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), built specifically for the postpartum experience. It’s gentle but powerful, evidence-based but easy to use, and intentionally designed to fit into real, unpredictable motherhood.

How long does it take to complete?

It’s built as an 10-week experience, but you can go at your own pace.

Is the digital journal the same content as the printed version?

Yes—same format, same structure, just screen-optimized.

Do I need special software for the digital journal?

Nope!

How long will I have access to the digital journal?

Forever. Once it's yours, it's yours.

Can I share my copy?

Nope. We’ve tried to make it super affordable - if your friend wants to try it, please encourage them to buy their own! Sorelle can only succeed with happy, paying customers. 😉

Who receives donated journals?

We partner with clinics, doulas, and nonprofits to get journals to women who wouldn’t otherwise have access.

Can I choose where my donation goes?

Right now, all donations go to a shared pool to ensure equitable distribution—but we're working on more targeted options. If you have a suggestion please email support@joinsorelle.com.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Not yet, but we’re exploring nonprofit partnerships that would make this possible soon.

What if I realize the journal isn’t for me?

Email us at support@joinsorelle.com. If you’ve worked through it and you’re not happy, we will work to make it right.

What is the refund policy?

Email us at support@joinsorelle.com. If you’ve worked through it and you’re not happy, we will work to make it right. For the donated journals, sales are final.

general

Who is Sorelle for?

Sorelle is for moms navigating the mental and emotional challenges of prenatal and postpartum life—especially those experiencing (or wanting to prevent) depression or anxiety. Whether it’s your first baby or your third, our support is built for you.

Do I need a diagnosis to join?

Not at all. Many members don’t have a formal diagnosis—they just know they’re struggling. If you’re feeling, or want to avoid feeling, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or just not like yourself, you’re in the right place.

Can I use this if I’m already in therapy?

Absolutely. Sorelle works beautifully alongside individual therapy. Many women use it as an added layer of support.

Will anyone judge me if I say I miss my old life?

Not even a little. That’s kind of the point.

Do I need to do a journal and a circle? Can I do one or the other?

The journal can be worked through on your own, separately from a circle. Our circles are facilitated and follow the main elements of the journal (we include a journal with the circle). While you can ultimately decide which format works best for you, we recommend the full experience as the circles are designed for additional support and sisterhood.

Is this covered by insurance or HSA/FSA?

You may be able to use HSA/FSA funds. We recommend checking with your provider.
